Thrum Mittens

Another great project from Fleece Artist. A basic pattern is enhanced by including pieces of roving knitted throughout the mitten, and a warm cozy fleece lining is automatically created.

Felted Hat

This felted hat is a Perl Grey design from Nova Scotia. The pattern and yarn come together as a kit. A unique way of making a hat. The final knitted piece is large with a double knitted brim that keeps it's shape when it is felted.

Entrelac Hat

This is a great way to learn the Entrelac technique. The base of the hat begins with a standard rib, and then the fun begins with base triangles. From there, you create the interwoven rectangles for a fabulous dimensional affect.

Aran Afghan

This is a great project for learning all about cables. You can make it in one color or multiple colors. It is intended for the novice through experienced knitter. This makes a great winter holiday gift. Kits will be available in Fall 2008.

Felted Socks

This is a great project for the first time sock knitter. We use bulky yarn, large double pointed needles, and a basic sock pattern. Afterwards, you felt the socks, and they become a cozy pair of slippers, great for the cold weather. A great holiday gift! This project is intended for the novice through experienced knitter. Techniques learned include knitting in the round with double pointed needles, short row shaping, and picking up stitches.

Design Your Own Hat

This is a great 1st project for the new knitter! You design the hat, based on the yarn and needle size of your choice. We figure out the gauge together, and create the pattern. Techniques learned include cast on, knit and/or purl, decreases to create the hat crown and finishing.

Sampler Knitted Bag

This is a great 1st project for the new knitter. You learn all about the different stitch patterns that can be created by combining knits & purls within a single row. Techniques learned include cast on, knit, purl, decreases, buttonholes, icord creation and finishing.

Nested Pouches

This is a great project for the new knitter! Three pouches that fit one inside the other are made from medium weight yarn. Garter stitch can be combined with Stockinette stitch to create your own stitch pattern design. Add a stripe, and voila! Techniques learned include cast on, knit, purl, color changing, decreases to create the flap, yarn overs to create a buttonhole and finishing. A perfect project for kids!
